Ticks (Acari: Ixodida) are hematophagous ectoparasites of a wide variety mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians, the vectors many pathogenic agents, such as bacteria, protozoa, viruses. The seasonal movement migration birds is one main causes dispersal ticks tick-borne pathogens.
